Pella Regional Health Center recently issued the following announcement.
The Pella Community Hospital Auxiliary recently donated more than $15,000 to Pella Regional Health Center to fund various projects.
“We are proud of our 61 year history of commitment to helping Pella Regional,” says Sharon Blom, current Auxiliary President. “Our Auxiliary members are an amazing group of individuals who really want to make a difference at the hospital and in the Pella community.”
This month the Auxiliary approved the donation to Pella Regional, meeting a variety of needs for departments throughout the facility. These include support for comfort kits for patients having breast cancer surgery or beginning chemotherapy treatments; motivational artwork for Pella Regional Therapy Services– Westpoort to inspire patients to achieve their therapy goals; bereavement comfort bags for grieving children; Halo Swaddle Sacks to help provide a safe sleeping environment for newborns; start-up support for Employee Wellness Committee garden project and support for Surgery Services including an Accu Vein Scanner and protective lead vests.
“Providing a high level of care for our patients and support for our staff is enhanced by the generosity of the Auxiliary,” says Bob Kroese, CEO of Pella Regional Health Center. “We appreciate the Auxiliary for their continued support. The donations they provide and the time they volunteer is extremely valuable to this organization.”
