City of Norwalk issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.
The City of Norwalk, is excited to share with you the news of a capital improvement project. The Des Moines Water Works on behalf of the City of Norwalk will begin construction along Highway G14 from the City of Cumming to 50th Avenue in Norwalk. This project is an investment by the City of Norwalk to increase water supply to the city for future growth.
On Track Construction, LLC, a contractor working for Des Moines Water Works, will begin construction activities the week of October 26, 2020. The work along Highway G14 will consist of installing a new 16-inch water main.
For residents in the area, the contractor doesn’t anticipate any water service disruption during this project. When they work in front of your driveway, access will be limited for only a few hours. You will be notified in advance to allow time to prepare for limited access. Once the water main has been installed, pressure testing and disinfection will be completed. Residents may see additional hydrant flushing during this time.
