Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 1st district, has been actively communicating her legislative efforts and achievements via social media. On May 22, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks announced that "the largest tax hike in American history was looming," but it was stopped by President Biden and House Republicans under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
