Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 1st district, has been vocal on various issues through her social media presence. Her recent tweets address legislative initiatives and personal engagements related to her role as a congresswoman.

On May 13, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks expressed gratitude towards Rep. Brett Guthrie for including her bipartisan Medicaid Program Improvement Act in a mark-up session. She emphasized that the act aims to ensure accurate enrollment and prevent multi-state misuse that benefits insurance companies while addressing waste, fraud, and abuse in the system "so care remains uninterrupted".

Later that day, she criticized The New York Times for what she described as spreading "progressive fallacies, lies, and talking points." She defended ongoing Medicaid reforms aimed at protecting vulnerable populations and encouraging able-bodied recipients to return to work "Medicaid is being reformed".

In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Miller-Meeks shared her experience of meeting veterans from the Quad Cities Honor Flight at the WWII Memorial. As a veteran herself, she took pride in stepping out of an Energy and Commerce markup session to honor these individuals whose service she vowed would never be forgotten "Their service will never be forgotten."

Mariannette Miller-Meeks has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Dave Loebsack. Before this role, she was part of the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021.
