Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 1st district, shared updates on various issues through her social media posts. Having replaced Dave Loebsack in 2021, she continues to focus on healthcare and international relations among other topics.

On May 6, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks noted a productive engagement with healthcare leaders: "Great meeting with the Iowa Hospital Association and leaders from Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, MercyOne Genesis, and University of Iowa Health Care to discuss how we can improve access to care and better serve patients across Iowa." The meeting focused on enhancing patient services across the state.

Later that day, she posted about an item of interest in Speaker Johnson's office: "One Big, Beautiful Map in @SpeakerJohnson office " This suggests her involvement or presence at a congressional office space.

On May 7, 2025, she addressed international concerns related to China: "The CCP has spent decades exploiting the U.S. and silencing its own people. Now their economy is cracking, workers are rising up—and Beijing is hiding the data. Just like the CCP did during COVID. Thank you @POTUS for holding Communist China accountable." This reflects her stance on foreign policy regarding China's economic transparency and human rights issues.

Miller-Meeks has been part of Congress since 2021 after serving in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. Born in Herlong, California in 1955 and currently residing in Le Claire, she holds a BSN degree from Texas Christian University obtained in 1976.
