Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Iowa's 1st district, shared a series of updates on her Twitter profile concerning celebratory events and legislative progress. The tweets highlight her engagements and activities as a representative.

On April 29, 2025, Miller-Meeks expressed her excitement about the recognition of Hawkeye Football alumnus Cooper Dejean by President Biden during the Eagles’ White House ceremony. She stated, "It was great seeing @HawkeyeFootball alum @Cdejean23 recognized by @POTUS at the Eagles’ White House ceremony! Thank you, Mr. President. Cooper, you've made everyone in Iowa proud — congratulations, and go Hawks!"

Later that day, Miller-Meeks shared details about her productive meeting with the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives. She emphasized the pivotal role of permitting reform in the energy sector, saying, "Had a great meeting with the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives to discuss the importance of permitting reform to keep energy available, affordable, reliable and responsive to the needs of rural Iowans."

In another tweet on the same date, she celebrated the legislative success of her bill, H.R. 1721, known as the Critical Infrastructure Manufacturing Feasibility Act. In her words, "Celebrating the passage of my bill, H.R. 1721 — the Critical Infrastructure Manufacturing Feasibility Act — the right way: with a puck from @GOPMajorityWhip and a cookie cake from @SteveScalise! Proud to be bringing manufacturing back to America. ".

Miller-Meeks, age 67, has been a member of Congress since 2021, following her previous tenure in the Iowa Senate. With an educational background from Texas Christian University, she has been active in various sectors including healthcare, given her M.D. degree.
