On April 17, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks commented on a significant move by former President Trump to address drug prices, stating "President Trump’s Executive Order is a bold step to lower drug prices and bring real transparency to our healthcare system. PBMs have been driving prices up for too long. I’m proud to be leading efforts in Congress, such as my bill the DRUG Act, to hold them accountable and". This highlights her ongoing legislative efforts to reform pharmaceutical pricing structures.
Later that day, she posted about her engagement with initiatives promoting skilled trades in Iowa. Miller-Meeks was born in Herlong, California, in 1955 and pursued her education at Texas Christian University, where she earned a BSN in 1976. She has been a proponent of legislative measures impacting both healthcare reform and workforce development in her role in Congress.
