Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 1st district, has recently expressed her views and activities through a series of tweets. These posts cover a range of topics from educational policies to local business initiatives and justice matters.

On March 20, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks criticized the Department of Education's policies, stating that for years it has prioritized "woke policies over merit" and "special interests over students," leading to a decline in math and reading proficiency levels. She emphasized that states, local governments, and parents are better suited to understand students' needs than federal bureaucrats "For years, the DOE has pushed woke policies over merit...".

The following day, March 21, she shared her experience on the Washington Main Street Tour where she engaged with local businesses and city leaders. The discussions focused on protecting tax policies vital for small businesses and families under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, advocating against taxes on tips, and efforts towards revitalizing downtown areas "Had an amazing time on the Washington Main Street Tour!".

Later that same day, Rep. Miller-Meeks expressed gratitude towards President Biden's administration for extraditing the individual responsible for Sarah Root's death nearly a decade ago. She reiterated her commitment to remembering Sarah Root while continuing efforts to protect national borders "After nearly a decade, justice is finally being served for Sarah Root's family.".
