Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 1st district, has recently taken to social media to discuss significant issues impacting her constituents. Her tweets highlight efforts in prescription drug reform and community support initiatives.

On March 18, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks emphasized the importance of the DRUG Act, stating that "Iowans shouldn’t have to choose between affording their medication and paying their bills." She stressed that the act prioritizes patients and ensures fairness in the prescription drug market by holding Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) accountable.

In another tweet on the same day, she recalled standing with Iowa pharmacist John Nicholson at a press conference in December to advocate for PBM reform. She expressed concern over how "Main Street pharmacies are being crushed by PBM greed," which threatens access to care in communities. The DRUG Act is presented as a protective measure for these local pharmacies.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks shared her visit to the Middle River Friends Church Food Pantry in Warren County. She praised the ministry for its dedication to serving the community and described it as "truly inspirational."
