2.5% of Marion County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Marion County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 422 people out of the 33,381 living in Marion County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Marion County has remained fairly stable compared to the 2.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Marion County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.9%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
