Pella Regional Health Center recently issued the following announcement.

Pella Regional Health Center has named Amy E. Meyer to the role of Foundation Coordinator. Job responsibilities include working collaboratively with the Foundation Board, hospital administration and the communities of Pella Regional Health Center and its clinics to positively impact the lives of patients and staff.

Meyer has nine years of nonprofit experience and was most recently employed as the HealthWorks Program Manager at the United Way of Central Iowa in Des Moines. Prior to that position, Meyer held the Executive Director role at United Way of Mahaska County in Oskaloosa.

“I’m excited to be a part of all the good that Pella Regional does in the communities we serve.  I look forward to learning about the needs of the hospital and staff and finding out how the foundation can be a part of meeting those needs,” said Meyer.

Meyer has a variety of experience in financial management, community relations, marketing, communications, fundraising, strategic planning, event and program management, media relations, journalism, and teaching. She received her Bachelors of Art in English with a minor in Economics at George Washington University in Washington, DC. She then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Journalism with concentration in Broadcast Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Meyer has served on many community non-profit boards, including United Ways of Iowa, Oskaloosa Rotary Club, Oskaloosa Area Chamber and Development Group Diplomats, Mahaska County Homelessness Coalition, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahaska County, and she currently volunteers at The Well in Pella.
