CITY OF INDIANOLA: Ryan J. Waller - City Manager

Indianola

City of Indianola issued the following announcement.

Recently, there has been an increase of graffiti that has been discovered around town, especially in and around the Square.  The Indianola Police Department has documented the known areas with graffiti, and Community Development staff is reaching out to affected property owners to have the graffiti removed.  If you notice graffiti in town, please report it to the Indianola Police at (515) 961-9400.  Additionally, the Square Reconstruction Project has had a large number of construction signage stolen over the first three weeks of the project.  If you notice any suspicious activity regarding these activities, please call 911 immediately.

Square Reconstruction (Streetscape) Project Update

Phase 1 of the Square Reconstruction Project continued this week with water main installation and concrete pavement removal on Salem, between Buxton and Howard.  Water service connections are anticipated to begin the week of July 12, which will require temporary disruptions of water service and localized sidewalk closures.  Impacted customers have been notified of the temporary disruptions and will also receive a 48-hour notification prior to the service connections.  Temporary localized sidewalk closures are anticipated to last for less than one day for each closure and will be planned such that access to all businesses will be maintained throughout the project. It is anticipated that Phase 1 construction will be completed by mid-November.
