City of Indianola issued the following announcement on Oct. 30.
Pamela Pepper has been appointed to serve as the City of Indianola’s next Mayor. The appointment took place at the City Council’s special meeting on October 29, 2020. In accordance with State Law, the City Council was required to fill the vacancy either by appointment or special election (the earliest a special election may occur is March 9, 2021).
Pepper has lived in Indianola for 23 years with her husband Tim and sons, Doug and Mark. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our community as Mayor. I am committed to making each and every citizen proud to be a part of this amazing community and am excited for the positive progress currently underway.” noted Pepper.
The current term of Mayor ends December 31, 2021 and will be on the ballot for the November 2021 election.
