City of Pella issued the following announcement on Sept. 9.
During the week of September 21 to 25, our water distribution system will be flushed for preventative maintenance and to better circulate water in the system. Flushing is accomplished by opening fire hydrants around town in a particular order.
What does this mean for you?
- You may experience cloudy water during this time
- We recommend avoiding washing laundry, especially whites, as cloudy water could discolor clothing
- If you experience any discoloration, call 628-1601 to obtain an additive that can be used to remove discoloration
