In Marion County, local businesses have received over $692,000 in grants from Gov. Kim Reynold's Iowa Small Business Relief Program.
The program has distributed $72.5 million statewide, according to KNIA-KRLS, and Marion County's small businesses received many grants from the program.
Applications are no longer being accepted, nor will another round of grants open, but any small businesses that were eligible for a loan in the state received anywhere between a $5,000 grant to a $25,000 grant, KNIA-KRLS reported.
Any businesses or organizations in Marion County are being encouraged to complete a survey by the University of North Iowa's Institute for Decision Making and Strategic Marketing Services, according to KNIA-KRLS. The Iowa Economic Development Authority will be using the survey results to help the state's economy recover and grow.
The survey can be accessed here.
Grants from the program were distributed to multiple small businesses in Pella, Knoxville and Pleasantville.
