Marion County is already looking forward to next year after the Board of Supervisors held regular meetings to prepare accordingly.
The 2021 proposed Marion County Budget was discussed in a public hearing and everything contained in it.
According to KNIA – KRLS News, assigning funds from Local Sales and Services, elected official’s salaries, tax revenues and approving resolutions to adopt the fiscal year 2021 budget were among the topics discussed in the public meeting.
The Five Year Construction Program starting 2021 through to 2025 and Iowa Department of Transportation Secondary Road Budget were passed by the board as well. Tyler Christian, Marion County Engineer, touched on the projects that will be accomplished within the proposed five years.
Slideways in Knoxville also saw its class C liquor license renewed after the board approved it. The board has been working behind the scene to plan and prepare for 2021 with the foundation laid in place earlier on.
