City of Pella issued the following announcement on Mar. 5.
The City of Pella has named Lieutenant Paul Haase as the Interim Chief of Police, filling the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Chief Robert Bokinsky. Lieutenant Haase will begin serving in this role effective March 7, 2020. Should the selection process for a permanent Chief of Police exceed 90 days, Lieutenant David Beukelman has been selected to follow Lieutenant Haase and serve as Interim Chief of Police until the permanent Chief is named.
