A 25-year development professional, Rob Hilbert is the President of the Iowa PBS Foundation. Rob joined the foundation in 2002 to oversee major and planned gift activities from individuals and foundations. He now leads the foundation and oversees all aspects of development including membership, corporate support, foundation support, major and planned gifts and board development to advance fundraising practices and collaborative activities across the organization. Rob served on the PBS Development Advisory Committee (DAC) from 2013 – 2018 and served as Chair of the DAC in 2017. 

Rob was named the C. Scott Elliott PBS Development Professional of the Year in 2019. Rob has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2002. In 2015, he was one of eight people in North America to receive the International Advanced Diploma in Fundraising with Distinction from AFP in the United States and the Institute of Fundraising in the United Kingdom. Rob has also participated in the Stanford Nonprofit Management Institute. Rob has served on boards of the Central Iowa Association of Fundraising Professionals, Mid-Iowa Planned Giving Council, and LEAVE A LEGACY® Iowa. Rob is a frequent speaker on fundraising and nonprofit management both locally and nationally. Rob holds a degree in Public Relations and Communications from the University of Northern Iowa.
