The Madison County Airing of the Quilts celebrates the history, tradition and artistry of quilting in Iowa! Hundreds of quilts are displayed in dozens of historical and cultural landmarks across picturesque Winterset and Madison County. These locations include the famous covered bridges, the grand 1870s courthouse, the Winterset City Park, which recently received designation on the National Registry of Historic Places, and the Madison County Historical Complex, just to name a few.
The celebration will also include a Quilt Walk through one of Winterset’s historic neighborhoods where quilts are artfully displayed on porch rails, patios, front stoops and other outdoor areas.

Daytime displays are open for viewing from 10:00 am to 4:00pm

Displays will be placed all around the community including the Iowa Quilt Museum at 68 E Court Ave.

Daytime exhibits: $15 general. $10 for IQM members
Dinner/Auction: $50/person
